The primary role of the Technical Committee is to maintain and evolve the HPD Open Standard. The evolution of the standard must balance the needs of ensuring high integrity of the content in the HPD while ensuring feasibility of adoption in the marketplace. The Committee has responsibility for developing and recommending revisions to the Standard for approval by the HPDC Board of Directors. The Technical Committee oversees all technical work of the HPDC, establishes subgroups as needed to address specific topics, and responds to technical questions about the HPD as needed. The Technical Committee is composed of HPD users, manufacturers, related tool developers, and other subject matter experts. The composition is designed to bring together different perspectives so that integrative solutions can be created.
