USGBC issues an interpretation of the LEED v4 credit

On April 5, 2016, the US Green Building Council issued an interpretation of the LEED v4 credit, Building Product Disclosure and Optimization—Material Ingredients, Option 1, that includes clarification of how the Health Product Declaration 2.0 can be used to meet the requirements of the credit (http://www.usgbc.org/node/10149113).  The interpretation confirms use of the Nested Materials and Substances format, with thresholds stated for each material, and the Basic Inventory format, with thresholds stated for the product as a whole.  It also adds a new compliance alternative, based on the Nested Materials and Substances format, with thresholds based on the product as a whole.

HPDC is updating guidance to reflect these changes.  Guidance can be found on the HPDC website (http://www.hpd-collaborative.org/leed-v4-credit-achievement/).
